Terms of Service

Effective 13 June 2026

1. About these terms

SproutAudit (the “Audit”) is a free diagnostic tool operated by SproutDB (“we”, “us”). By using the Audit you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use it.

2. What the Audit does

With your authorisation, the Audit reads your JobAdder candidate and contact records (read-only) and compares them against a LinkedIn connections export that you upload, to estimate which connections aren't yet in JobAdder. It does not write to JobAdder, and it does not connect to, scrape, or automate LinkedIn — you provide the LinkedIn data yourself, using LinkedIn's own export feature.

3. Your responsibilities

By using the Audit, you confirm that:

  • You are authorised to access the JobAdder account you connect and to process the data in it.
  • You obtained your LinkedIn connections export in accordance with LinkedIn's User Agreement, and you are responsible for your own compliance with LinkedIn's and JobAdder's terms.
  • You will handle any personal information in line with applicable data-protection law (including the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and, where relevant, the GDPR).

You use the Audit on your own accounts and at your own risk. We are not responsible for any action a third party (including LinkedIn or JobAdder) takes against your account.

4. No affiliation

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by LinkedIn Corporation or JobAdder. “LinkedIn” and “JobAdder” are trademarks of their respective owners, used only to describe interoperability.

5. Results are an estimate

Matching relies on emails and name/company pairs and may produce occasional misses or false matches. The Audit is provided for guidance only — verify any individual entry before acting on it. Results are not professional, legal, or recruitment advice.

6. “As is”, and your consumer rights

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Audit is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, and we exclude all implied terms.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where our liability can be limited under the Australian Consumer Law, our liability is limited, at our option, to re-supplying the service or paying the cost of having it re-supplied.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or for any loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business, arising from your use of the Audit — including any restriction, suspension, or other action taken against your LinkedIn or JobAdder account. The Audit is free; to the extent we have any liability not otherwise excluded, it is capped at AUD $100.

8. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against any claim, loss, or cost arising from your misuse of the Audit or your breach of these terms or of any third party's terms (including LinkedIn's or JobAdder's).

9. Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the current version always lives at this page with its effective date. These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, Australia. Questions: hello@sproutdb.au.
